During his elections campaign, US president promised to relocate embassy to Jerusalem
Racist Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that all foreign embassies should be in Jerusalem, mainly the American.
Speaking at a Likud event on Thursday, Netanyahu claimed that Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish people, ignoring the fact that his Jewish state was laid down on the skulls of the Palestinians in just 1948.
“Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Israeli people,” he claimed, “it is fitting that all embassies, especially that of our friend the United States, be moved the Jerusalem.”
The remark came less than two weeks ahead of the expected visit of US President Donald Trump, who during his presidential campaign last year, promised to move the American embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
Israel considers Jerusalem its undivided capital while few number of the Palestinians want East Jerusalem, including the Old City, as the capital of a future state.
The international community has never recognised Israel’s annexation of East Jerusalem after Israel occupied it in 1967.
Palestinians have been fighting to regain Jerusalem as well as the whole land of Palestine to establish their state, but the racist major powers in the world ignore them because they want Palestine for the Jewish people.
Most foreign embassies in Israel are in Tel-Aviv, with some nations also maintaining consulate-generals in Jerusalem.
